Divisionals Meet Information
Divisionals Meet Information
Weather: The forecast for tomorrow looks great! But just in case, there is an attached weather statement from NVSL. Always assume the meet is on until you get word otherwise.
Divisional T-shirts: Our Team Reps will be making the rounds to the Team Dinners tonight distributing T-shirts. If you are unable to attend the dinner, there will be a table near concessions where you can pick them up. There are a small number of additional T-shirts for purchase, plan to get to the meet early if you are interested in those.
Volunteers: If you’re not already volunteering for this meet, please sign up here to help. Concessions needs you! If you are already signed up, Thank you. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your shift. Please remember that timers and other officials need to wear white top and blue bottoms with no Waynewood logos on them.
Parking & Team Areas: Walk, Bike or Carpool. Our lot is 100% reserved for Team Reps and meet officials from other teams. Please park considerately in the neighborhood, away from driveways, stop signs, etc. Attached are Traffic flow and pool configuration maps which show locations for swimmer drop off and more.
Concessions: Come hungry! Our concessions stand will have breakfast items (Bagels, Donuts, Anita’s burritos, Chick-fil-a) and lunch items starting at 11 (Pulled Pork sandwiches, Mac and cheese Chick-fil-a, and burgers). We accept cash AND credit cards!
Warm-ups: As the hosts, we have the earliest warm-up Time 7:45-8:00am. There will also be a short warm-up between each stroke and during the break between the 1st half (Free, Back, Breast) the 2nd half (Fly & IM) of the meet. See the attached Timeline for more details.
Meet Timeline with No Earlier than Times. Attached is the meet timeline. If your Dolphin(s), are swimming later in the day, they are welcome to arrive later, Just make sure that you leave a cushion to get them up to the pool, filter through the crowd to the Team Area and then to the Clerk-of-Course. At Waynewood, we have a group of awesome officials and volunteers, so we tend to run very efficient, fast meets. Make sure that your swimmer is at the pool well ahead of the beginning of the “no earlier than” time.
The Meet sheet is attached, please print it or save a tree and view it on your phone.
Alternates: What is the likelihood of an alternate being able to swim in a race at divisionals? To be honest. Very slim. We sometimes only seat one alternate during the entire Divisionals meet--sometimes none. But it does happen and if you are already there (or want to arrive early or stay late), all you have to do is stop by the Clerk of Course ready to swim at the time the event is called and tell them you are an alternate. If the stars align, you may have a lane in the meet.
Go Divisionals Dolphins!
