Hello Waynewood Dolphin Swimmers and Families!

Summer is fast approaching and we are gearing up for the 2020 swim season!

This summer, the Waynewood Dolphins will be participating in Division 7, competing against Lakevale Estates, Pinecrest, Ravensworth Farm, Sleepy Hollow Bath & Racquet and Villa Aquatic.

The following are upcoming events and our calendar for the 2020 summer swim season.

Coach Application for the Summer Season

An email with a link to the application will be sent the week of March 8. The coach selection committee will meet in late March and offers will be extended before Spring Break (by Friday, April 3).

Summer Swim Team Registration

Registration opens April 1, 2020! At that time, you will be able to visit the Waynewood Dolphins website to register your swimmer.

Super Sunday

Super Sunday is Sunday, May 3, 3pm-5pm outside of the pool house. Team Reps and Coaches will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Sport Fair will also be there selling team suits and goggles. We have a new team suit this year! This suit will be for the 2020 and 2021 swim seasons. Please mark your calendars. We look forward to seeing you!

Dolphin Swim Team Representatives for 2021-2022 Seasons

Swim Team Representatives are crucial in order for swim clubs to compete in the NVSL. Typically, the swim team rep position is a 2-year commitment, with 2 co-team reps. As the 2020 swim season is our last year as team reps, we welcome the opportunity to show our successors how rewarding this experience can be. Please contact us via email if you are interested in shadowing us this season.

Volunteer Opportunities

We need you! Our swim team relies heavily on parent volunteers. Please let us know via email if you are interested in volunteering for a lead position. Many thanks in advance for all your help. We could not do our jobs without all of you! We look forward to a successful swim season!

Spring Tune Up

Spring “Tune-up” swim programs are available to get your swimmer back in the water before Memorial Day weekend rolls around. Please visit local year-round swim programs (NCAP, Fort Belvoir Swim Team, Arlington Aquatic, Potomac Marlins) to check availability. Also, Fairfax County Rec Centers have swim programs available on evenings and weekends and also offer private lessons.
