Greetings Dolphin Families!

We're excited to open registration for a competitive 2021 season in NVSL Division 7 led by returning Head Coach Dylan Keightley. We're also pleased to announce this year's registration includes the return of our non-competitive Little Dolphins program for younger swimmers. While we expect this season to more closely resemble our 2019 season, we are committed to health and safety. Expect new protocols and a greater chance of unanticipated changes as the season progresses. At this time we are still in the process of determining the team practice schedule, confirming meet dates with other teams, and working with NVSL and WRA to set policies for things like spectators, new practice rules, and some of the fun events traditionally associated with our season. As soon as we feel confident about these important details, and before the season begins, we will be sharing an updated handbook and schedule for 2021 and other information.

As a season outline, practice will begin on Tuesday, June 1 and our last scheduled team swimming event (Divisionals) is scheduled for July 24. In between, we expect there to be weekday practice sessions (morning and afternoon starting June 14), "A Meet" events for swimmers with the fastest times on our swim ladder, and "B Meet" events on Mondays for all team members (except Little Dolphins). This season, we ask for your patience and attention to communications that may include important information about changes or new requirements.

1. SUPER SUNDAY, MAY 9 from 1-3pm (RAIN OR SHINE) (Pool parking lot)

Come and meet our Team Reps, Frederick Hill and Tom LoCascio with Head Coach Dylan Keightley with any questions. While registration will be online, Sport Fair will be on hand to sell team suits. Our swimsuits will be a new design this year. Pool changing facilities will NOT be available so you may want to consider coming early, taking suits home to try on, and exchanging them before 3 pm if necessary. Little Dolphins can purchase team suits if they like—sometimes they enjoy looking like the big dolphins! Male Jammer $34.71
Male Brief $31.00
Female $45.58

2. 2021 SUMMER SWIM REGISTRATION

Registration is NOW OPEN! The cost has remained the same as 2019 including the discount for multiple swimmers in one family ($150 for the first swimmer, $120 for the second, $100 for the third, $25 each for any additional swimmers after three. Please read the instructions below before going to the Waynewood Dolphins website to register:

In order for your swimmer to participate, you must login and provide:

• WRA Member or Approved User number
• Insurance Information
• Approval of WRA Waiver, NVSL Waiver and COVID Addendum
• T-shirt size (Last name)
• Swim cap (optional – cost: 2 for $22) (Last name)
• All email addresses to send swim team notifications for the 2021 season.

Returning families are asked to log on using the same e-mail as last year. Please do not create a new account. If you have forgotten your password, please use the forgot password function.

When registering swimmers, please put the name they want to be called in the "first name" section, even if that name is really their middle name or nickname.

3. SPIRITWEAR

We will have a team store open online shortly. Stay tuned!

4. VOLUNTEERS

We need your help! The Waynewood Swim Team is an incredible program that cultivates all swimmers. The coaches provide the expertise to help your children excel at swimming, but the volunteers are what makes the team have a successful season. It takes A LOT of parent volunteers to run a swim team and swim meet. After last season’s hiatus we have numerous vacancies and need volunteers to step up for season critical positions including:

• -Sponsorship Coordinator
• -Head Clerk of Course
• -Meet Table Coordinator
• -Concessions Leads

5. SPONSORSHIPS

We have sponsorship opportunities available with advertising and
exposure ranging from signage at the pool, inclusion in the banquet program,
and announcements at every A meet.

If you own a local business, this is great exposure and shows your
commitment to the community. If you don’t own a small business, but your best
friend or neighbor does please consider letting us know or reaching out to them
directly! Again, we are very much in need of a lead volunteer to coordinate sponsorships to please reach out if you are willing to help!
