Welcome to the 2021 Season!

1. Practice starts Tuesday! - June 1st!

The Dolphins practice every day after school Monday thru Friday until FCPS ends. That is, of course, with the exception of Little Dolphins who start Tuesday, June 15th. We understand that there are still some other sports/activities going on, so just try to make it as often as you can. There is no need to let us know when your swimmers can't be there. The more practices we get in before the first meet the better our Dolphins will be! Swimmers must be registered to practice!

2. Procedures, Schedule for Practices & Tentative Meets and Events

Please familiarize yourselves with the 2021 practice procedures below. You will also find them in the attachment along with the previously released Practice Schedule and the all new Meet and Events Schedule. Feel free to print and post on your fridge for frequent reference!

3. Additional Notes for Swim Practices

Given the cool temperatures this weekend, swimmers should be prepared for increased dryland training (a.k.a. out of the pool exercise: planks, lunges etc.). They might also want a sweatshirt for after practice to get warmed back up!

NOTE FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNGER SWIMMERS: We recommend swimmers bring goggles and basic fins to practice. This is not essential for the first practices so feel free to see what other swimmers have on those opening days.

FYI – We practice in the rain, but not if there is thunder or lightning. Keep an eye out for weather-based cancellations via e-mail. We will announce changes as quickly as we can!
