The Dolphins won their second A meet this season! It was a very competitive meet with great swims on both sides, but in the end, the Dolphins beat the Ravensworth Ravens (224-196)! You can check out results from the rest of Division 7 and the League at NVSL’s website: www.mynvsl.com
Coach Dylan reports that the Dolphins, as a team, dropped an additional 1 minute and 10 seconds on Saturday. This brings their total for the season so far to an improvement of 16 minutes and 51 seconds! Swim Fast at the B Meet Dolphins!
2. Updates for Monday’s B Meet – All Swimmers Need Masks!
It’s our first Away meet! It will be held nearby at 8633 Buckboard Dr. Carpooling is always a good idea. Please arrive by 5pm for a 5:20 warm-up. Our host team, Riverside Gardens has asked that all swimmers, regardless of age or vaccination status, wear masks in the Clerk of Course. Riverside Gardens has provided a map of their deck so that we can see the change in in the entrance for the visiting team. We need volunteers for the second half for: Tables, Clerk of Course and Marshall. Sign up to fill those spots here . While, our hosts haven't said anything about masks for volunteers or spectators, it's always a good idea to have one with you these days.
2. Availability for Next Week’s Division Relay Carnival - Wednesday - July 7 at Villa Aquatic!
Each of the 6 Teams in our Division will field 2 relay teams (one freestyle and one medley) for each age & gender group. For example, the 8 & Under girls will field a 100 meter freestyle relay AND a 100 meter medley relay. Therefore, even if your swimmer hasn’t been in a relay up until now, they may find themselves in one for this meet. Make sure that you have marked your swimmer available if they want to be considered for this meet. Deadline for Availability is Monday, July 5 at 11pm
