    Waynewood Dolphins Midweek Message

    July 8, 2021

    1. More Volunteer Shifts Open

Thank you to the volunteers who have signed up! We have a whole bunch of volunteer shifts that have just opened! 2 A meets and 1 B meet. Click here to fill these shifts!

    2. Caution! Falling Records! Dropping Times!

The Dolphins are getting faster! Their goal for the season was to drop 30 minutes as a team and they have already dropped 28 minutes and 24seconds! We still have a couple weeks left in the season—it looks as though they are going to blast right past that goal!! Way to go Dolphins!

The Dolphin Boys 11-12 Medley Relay of Jonas Yiengst, Moses Wolf, Marshall LoCascio, Jacques Poyac-Clarkin broke a 19-year-old record on Saturday by swimming the race in 1:05.21. They squeaked by the 2002 record of 1:05.25 set by Brandon McDowell, Jack Collins, Eddie Stevens, Peter Verdin. Yiengst, Wolf, LoCascio and Poyac-Clarkin came together again last night to better their record to 1:04.40. Wow! Impressive swimming boys!

On Monday, Moses Wolf set a new record of 1:14.58 in the Boys 11-12 IM. His time surpasses the old record of 1:15.05 set by Teammate Matthew Morris in 2016. Well done, Moses!

    3. Celebrating our Seniors

As a highlight of our last Home A meet on Saturday, we will be celebrating our graduating Seniors in the break before relays. (approximately 10:45-11am--tissues optional). We have 6 wonderful Seniors this year. Wait till you hear about their accomplishments in and out of the pool! We hope you’ll join us in wishing them well on Saturday.
