Individual Medley (IM) Tri-Meet to replace IM Invitational 

on Dolphins Calendar for Monday, July 19^th

Bad News: The IM Invitational Meet has been canceled for this year.

Good News: Our Team Reps are working on a smaller IM meet to take its place on our calendar!

Here are the details so far:

• Mount Vernon Park, Hollin Meadows and Waynewood Swim Teams are working to come together on Monday July 19 for an IM only meet. 100 IM is a 100meter race with 1 lap each of 4 different strokes (Fly, Back, Breast and Free)
• Entry criteria is still being worked out but interested swimmers should try to have a legal IM time to qualify to swim in this meet.
• 8 & Under Butterfly which is usually part of the IM Invitational will not be part of this meet, however, 8 & Unders who have a legal IM time will likely be eligible.
• The meet will be held at Waynewood Pool.
• Parents of Swimmers participating in the meet will be expected to volunteer in some fashion to support the meet.
• There is one more opportunity (Monday’s Home B Meet with Mansion House) to get a qualifying time for Individual Medley. As usual, swimmers may sign up for 2 strokes plus IM at the B meet. 10 & Unders must be on the approved coaches list for both breast and fly to sign up for IM.
• If weather disrupts, there will not be a make-up date so keep your fingers crossed for clear skies.
