Waynewood Dolphins: Super Sunday is May 7, Swimsuit on Sale
We’re only a little more than 4 weeks away from the start of
summer practice! So far, over 90 swimmers have registered for the 2023 swim season.
We suggest everyone register by Thursday, May 11 or else your T-shirt order
will only come much later in the season than our first priority order.
SUPER SUNDAY, MAY 7 from 1-3 pm
(RAIN OR SHINE, WRA grounds)
Come and meet our Team Reps, Frederick Hill and Tom LoCascio
with Head Coach Dylan Keightley to ask any questions. While registration will
be online, our swimsuit vendor Sport Fair will be on hand to sell team suits.
This is the best and most convenient time to buy and try on a swimsuit –
SportFair has told us they do not expect to have inventory issues this year.
SWIMSUITS – Same as last
season
As a reminder, our team swim suit is the same Arena model as we
used last year. We did notice last year that Arena sizes can but quite a bit
different from those of other manufacturers like Speedo so we highly recommend
a fitting. Costs of suits this year are:
Male Brief -- $38.50
Male Jammer -- $46.00
Female -- $67.75
(6% tax not included)
Little Dolphins can purchase team suits if they like—sometimes
they enjoy looking like the big dolphins – but there isn’t a competition need
for it. If you cannot attend Super Sunday, you can purchase suits directly
from Sport
Fair by contacting or visiting: 5010 Lee Hwy, Arlington, VA
22207. Phone: 703-524-9500. Tell them you want the Waynewood Dolphins team
suit.
Please keep in mind that while the Waynewood Dolphins swim team has worked with
Sport Fair to coordinate a team suit and sell suits on Super Sunday, the team
is not a party to purchases with Sport Fair and any returns or exchanges will
need to be worked out directly with the vendor.
While having coordinated suits makes the team look sharp at meets and in
photos, many (but not all) suits, are legal for NVSL meets. Let us know if you
have questions about swim suits.
2023 SEASON REGISTRATION

Registration is NOW OPEN! The
cost for swimmers is $170 for the first swimmer, $140 for the second, $120 for
the third, $45 each for any additional swimmers after three. The deadline for
registration to ensure inclusion in the first team T-shirt and cap order is May
11. There is also a new $3 annual per swimmer fee being charged
by our team software platform Swimtopia that we’re passing on to families.
This year, we have again adjusted the volunteer shift requirement (explained in
registration) for all parents. Please read the instructions below before
going to the Waynewood Dolphins website to register:
In order for your swimmer to participate, you must login and provide:
- WRA Member or Approved User number (remember these changed in 2022)
- Insurance Information
- Approval of WRA Waiver, NVSL Waiver and COVID Addendum
- T-shirt size
- Swim cap (optional – cost: 2 for $28)
- All email addresses to send swim team notifications for the 2023 season.
Returning families are asked to log on using the same
e-mail as last year. Please do not create a new account. If you have
forgotten your password, please use the forgot password function or email Team
Reps.
When registering swimmers, please put the name they want to be called in the
"first name" section, even if that name is really their middle
name or nickname.
Here is the link to registration – https://waynewood.swimtopia.com/
Please remember that only swimmers registered with WRA as being from
households of current WRA members and WRA approved users are eligible to participate.
Please reach out if you have any questions about this.
If you have read and followed the instructions and are still
having difficulty registering, contact the Team Reps.
GO DOLPHINS! See you at Super
