Dolphins Set Two Team Records at All Star Relay Carnival, Prep for Divisionals
7/15/2026
Today at the NVSL All Star Relay Carnival, Waynewood swimmers again broke two recently set relay records while scoring the most points for Waynewood at All Star Relays since 2011 through multiple high-place finishes. We’re also excited to unveil and open orders for Divisional Championship shirts as well as the Waynewood favorite pie in the face pep rally on Friday.

1) NVSL Division 7 Individual Championship T-shirts
Waynewood is hosting Division 7 Individual Championships (Divisionals) on Saturday, July 25. We’ll have more on the meet in the Sunday newsletter but we wanted to make families aware of the opportunity to order two different meet T-shirts – orders must be made by midnight July 21. The team does not plan to make a second order. The two options (and you can get both):
- Division 7 Individual Championships event T-shirt orders: The official event shirt is here and made available to all six Division 7 teams. The team plans to distribute shirt orders before or at the meet.
- The Dolphins 2026 Divisional swimmer T-shirt: The Dolphins are again offering a Divisional meet team T-shirt here.
For newer parents, Divisionals is a lot like an A Meet but with slightly fewer swimmers from each team and some important differences. While we can’t say for sure who will have the opportunity to swim until after IM Invitational on Monday evening, most all swimmers should know if they’ll have an opportunity to swim by the Tuesday, July 21 deadline.
2) NVSL All Star Relay Carnival Results
Nine Waynewood boys represented the Dolphins at the All Star Relay Meet in four events earlier today. All four relay squads achieved season-best times and two, boys 8 & under 100m medley relay and boys 13-14 200m freestyle relay, broke their own team records set just last week at Division 7 Relay Carnival.
- Boys 8 & under 100m medley relay (1:30.30)*: Eddy Vogel, Darien Hill, Bear Bowman, Gavin Cooper – NVSL 4th place
- Boys 13-14 200m medley relay (2:05.52): Luke Bluey, James Gallagher, Alex Leth, Wyatt Thom – NVSL 10th place
- Boys 8 & under 100m freestyle relay (1:18.68): Eddy Vogel, Bear Bowman, John Beaton, Gavin Cooper – NVSL 9th place
- Boys 13-14 200m freestyle relay (1:49.37)*: Luke Bluey, Alex Leth, Wyatt Thom, James Gallagher – NVSL 3rd place
*-New Waynewood team records
The high finishes by the four relay teams earned Waynewood 114 points, enough to tie Dowden Terrace for first among Division 7 teams and 24th across teams from all divisions in NVSL (Waynewood also tied Dowden Terrace for second place at Division 7 Relay Carnival). The 114 points scored by Waynewood at All Star Relays in 2026 are the most for the team since 2011 (136). The full results from NVSL 2026 All Star Relay Carnival are available here.
3) Pie in the Face Pep Rally—Friday at 6 pm
Our favorite pep rally is just days away—Pie in the Coaches’ Face! A timeless classic involving trivia questions and lots of whipped cream. We’ll also announce practice monsters and fill the grounds with Dolphin spirit!
